Spring Break: Florida Style

Flying, swimming, climbing, sliding, running, clapping, smiling... Owen was a busy guy this past week, taking in a spring break getaway to sunny Florida. Happy St. Patrick's Day

This weekend we're celebrating the end of another quarter, a new job for Brecken, the start of spring break, and St. Patrick's Day. Lots for us to be excited about, and you can be excited that there is another post to the blog...something that has not been happening with as much frequency lately.

To celebrate the luck of the Irish, Owen donned as much green as he could find in his closet and tossed out a big smile for the camera.

When he smiles, those big cheeks almost force his eyes shut. Maybe we need to hold back on the corned beef and cabbage, or maybe he just needs to blame his dad for the big cheeks.

We also took some time out to check out the annual tradition in downtown Chicago - The Green River. Despite nine years in the city, this is the first time that Brecken and I had seen the toxic flow. It's quite the site.

We're now crossing our fingers for a little luck of the Irish and a "Green" close to the day with the Spartans vs. UNC. How about a little more Izzo magic? It might be a lofty dream, but it sure would be fun.

I know, I know. For those anxiously awaiting new photos of Owen...you'll have to wait a little bit longer. We've been lazy with the camera in the past few weeks, and final exams have reared there ugly head again this week. More to come...please stay tuned.

For the sake of the NCAA tournament, we'll throw out a flashback photo from one year ago: ...followed by a photo from the other day when Owen felt it was critical to resuscitate his teammate, Mr. Bunny, with a little fake orange juice.

The O' and Joe Show

For the past year, we've enjoyed watching Owen and Joey grow up together. From crawling, to walking, to now working on the early forms of conversation, they've entertained one another and the casual observer. In recent weeks, they seem to be stepping it up a notch.

Story Time....Oops!

Owen has recently become a big fan of the library and all of the exciting new books at his disposal. This past week, Brecken stumbled upon an entertaining book, or at least a book that Owen finds particularly funny. We hope you enjoy participating in story time with the little doodah.
