More Friends...More Fun

May 22nd

May was a fun month with a lot of guests and a lot of built in entertainment for the kids. Following our visit from the family H the week before, the family P made the trek down from Madison to catch up on lost time. After a fun dinner and a few beverages on the porch Friday night, we kicked off Saturday with our first trip of the summer to the Oak Park farmer's market.
While the market is always well stocked with vegetables, herbs, flowers, cheeses, and breads, the favorite "fresh" part of this market is the doughnuts at the door, available in cinnamon sugar, powdered sugar, or plain and just out of the kitchen from the church on the corner. On this particular day, Paxton opted for the cinnamon sugar...
...while Owen and Eli chose powdered sugar and some time in front of the neighborhood band.
The cool morning at the market called for jackets...
...but the afternoon sunshine made for some great time outdoors in the sunshine for Paxton, Taylor, and the rest of our crew.As the day gave way to night, Owen was excited by his first "sleepover" with Eli and Owen "camping" in Owen's room with sleeping bags, flashlights, and a few stuffed friends and blankets. In moments like this, there is one thing for certain in our household. One little sister is a fan of her big brother and never wants to be left out of the mix.Paxton eventually made it back to her own room, but not without a valiant effort to crash on the floor with the boys.
Great to see Sarah, Michael, Eli, and Taylor. The doors are always open.
