Who's our daddy?

Over the weekend, Brecken, Owen, and I had a great time celebrating Kaitlin and Chris' wedding.
Turning our attention to a more interesting, mysterious, curious, somewhat shady realization. Owen and his "cousin" Pierson spent a lot of time together this weekend, and many casual observers, including some extended family members, wanted to know the age of these two "brothers."

Despite almost three months difference in age, there are some apparent similarities in appearance. Initially, I laughed away the comments. However, as the weekend went on, it became apparent that there was more to this than just looks. The boys started to demonstrate some behavioral similarities as well. For instance, the preference for the index finger between meals.

Maybe there is more to this than a simple casual joke and conversation. Is it possible that Owen has a different daddy? I used the Sunday brunch to interrogate a number of wedding guests, inquiring into activities and whereabouts in the past year. Though no charges have been pressed at this time, I have no qualms about identifying the lead suspect. To protect his identity, we'll give him a codename: Peter.

Ironically, this is the very guy that approached me before the wedding on Saturday with a new business proposal. His idea was to introduce a "conception calendar" for men. Very shady...very shady. Setting aside the charges, he might be on to something when it comes to warning guys about what sporting events might be occuring 40 weeks out from that Cialis moment. For example: Guys that are attending April Fool's Day parties this year should be forewarned if the moment strikes they may actually be jeopardizing plans for next years Daytona 500 party. Winner? Loser?

Well, in the spirit of keeping friends close and enemies closer, I managed to set aside my suspicions to enjoy the event. For now, we'll consider the similarities a result of the C family connection.

Peter, Kristin, Brecken, and I enjoying the festivities for Kaitlin and Chris. Congratulations to the newlyweds, and no hard feelings Peter.
