Check out my new tricks.

Baby C finally visited the GSB. He took some time out of his busy social calendar to attend LPF on Friday evening. Unfortunately, we didn't have the camera with us, but it was great to finally introduce Owen to a number of GSB'ers. They finally met the brains of the operation.

Grandpa and Grandma L joined us for the long weekend, enjoying every chance they can get to hang out with Owen and to gawk at how much he has grown in the past few weeks. He was in great spirits and enjoyed a humorous post-dinner conversation with Grandma on Saturday.

Most of the words were unrecognizable to the adult ear, but the smiles and laughs on both sides were priceless.

As parents, Brecken and I recognize that he is growing out of things, but it is harder to recognize the difference in size when you are together day in and day out.

The things we do notice, however, are the new little actions that Owen seems to pick up each week. In addition to smiling on a much more frequent (& non-gas related) basis, Owen has started to stick out his tongue and to blow bubbles. The rolling over has really subsided (read - not doing it at all), but devouring his right hand is great entertainment. Does this mean he will be right-handed? Reiterating a comment that I made in an earlier post, it is absolutely amazing how much time one can spend just staring at the little guy to see what he will do next. At least for this weekend, there are four sets of eyes enjoying Owen's little tricks.
