Questions for Owen - 1/5/2006

Question 1: Biggest target, Mom? Dad? or the wall in your room?
This question had to be cleaned up a little bit for my pure little ears, but I believe it was getting at the fact that I have been known, as most parents of little boys are aware, to play target practice when mom and dad are least expecting it. It is my opportunity to use the element of surprise to really shake things up on the changing table. I hadn't been keeping score, but now that you ask, I believe the current tally would be as follows:
Mom -> 3 ...... Dad -> 2 ..... Wall -> 2 ......Own Goal (no good) -> 1
Question 2: What was your favorite Christmas gift?
This is a completely loaded question, and I don't think there is an answer that I can provide without hurting someone's feelings. I really liked the Cubs cap, the Spartan outfit, the Bumbo seat, the squeaking chicken puppet, the new TV at home, and the cool toys that I look forward to using. Cheesy as it sounds, I guess I really liked the chance to meet everyone in Ohio and Michigan. Hopefully I put a little pressure on some of the other family members to give me a few more cousins. I think I was most effective in this department when sitting with aunt Laverne and trying to get her to really put the heat on Holly and Josh. My dad says that they should focus on their new house, but I'm not buying that. I want some friends. On the other side, I'm subtly putting the heat on two groups, the family Sparties (but I'm not supposed to say that out loud) and the Hutchings.
Question 3: Do you have any resolutions for 2006?
Hmmm...interesting question. I'm fascinated by all of the resolutions that seem to be talked about, and at 7 weeks old, I'm not really sure what I want to resolve. My parents have been whispering in my ear, not so subtly, to start sleeping through the night, but I don't think that sounds like very much fun. Personally, I'm focusing on learning to suck my thumb rather than my entire fist, and I'm trying to understand why I'm supposed to be happier with my clothes on rather than my clothes off. Is that so strange, really? My final resolution is to do all of my dad's classwork this quarter rather than only the finals like I did last quarter. Competitive Strategy and Investments should be a lot of fun. Bring it on.
If you have any questions for Owen, remember to send them to babycandthegsb@gmail.com. He tries to reply on Thursday postings. Cheers!
