Which way does he lean?

Owen took part in his first election this week, taking time out of his busy schedule to participate in (alright...observe) the voting process for the mid-term elections.

While I considered standing him at the voting booth in order to capture a few pictures of democracy in action, a voice of reason suggested that might not be the most appreciated activity in a polling place. Regardless, the election officials enjoyed talking to Owen. They even rewarded him with a button and a chocolate bar for his efforts. He isn't really talking clearly, but when he gets a little cranky each afternoon, I'm pretty sure he is begging to visit that "candybar and button" place.

After the election results were posted that evening, I thought he seemed a little upset.
Photo evidence seemed to be revealing a little right-leaning Republican in our midst. However, only moments later, I caught him in a much more celebratory mood while leaning to his left.

Despite asking several times before he was born, doctors claimed that current ultrasound technology does not reveal political leanings. I guess they were right. After his first election, Owen remains politically uncertain. For good measure, he ate waffles for breakfast the next morning.
