The Campaign Trail
It is an election week around the country, but it also happens to be one week short of Owen's first birthday. As candidates attended church services and kissed babies while campaigning for a few last minute votes, Owen hit the road with a weekend campaign of his own.
Sporting a sweater vest, clean hair, and his trademark smile, Owen sought comfort among some of his most loyal constituents. His message was unwavering. Big toys! Lot of toys! Bring toys or go home! This kid is passionate and has a clear vision for the empty space in his bedroom and family room. This kid can really work a crowd of potential spenders. Early voting results indicate that this will be a record fundraising effort for the aspiring politician and his inaugural birthday campaign. However, Owen has assured me that one can never have too much. Talk about maternal influence...

Campaign aside, it is worth noting that this is a picture of "Great" Grandma Shirley with her two great grandkids, Owen and Bekah. The best part of the picture is that it is hard to tell which of the three is having the most fun.
