This was no ordinary weekend around home. The neighborhood transformed itself on Saturday morning for the annual Pet Parade, a showcase of local pets, bands, and organizations. Paxton was up and ready for all the action.
This year we were joined by Andrea, Kip, and the one-and-only four legged superstar, Nomar. We were all witness.
Nothing like dogs in wagons...
...and grown men pushing out-of-commission lawnmowers to kick-start a Saturday.
Carrie and Jay joined us after the parade for lunch and a few intense games of Elefun, Hungry Hippos, and I-Spy.
The morning parade gave way to the evening midway and a collection of classic carni rides. Owen actually discovered the carnival on Friday evening and woke up at 5:30 AM on Saturday, at which point he said good morning to Brecken and I by jumping up and down on our bed asking if he could go to the carnival. It was worth the day of waiting for the little guy...
Even Brecken took part in the fun, sharing a ride on the Ferris wheel with the little man.
Paxton was still too little for all of the rides, but she took time entertained herself on the stairs when we got home.
Until next years big Pet Parade/Carnival weekend.
