Truth in Advertising - Holiday Card 2008
Many of you may have seen the following picture featured in our 2008 family holiday card...
A fun little moment captured on film...err digital. The picture highlights a three year old Owen and his diminished interest in simply posing for pictures, and it shares with everyone the fact that 10 month old Paxton is now standing with relative confidence and even venturing into her own first steps. Toss in striped holiday pajamas and a Christmas tree backdrop...voila...holiday card material.
However, with the cards now sent, it is worth sharing a few of the outtakes from the "kid picture" exercise that Brecken and I attempted this year. It was anything but a simple point and shoot moment. "Mom, Paxton won't stand still!"

However, with the cards now sent, it is worth sharing a few of the outtakes from the "kid picture" exercise that Brecken and I attempted this year. It was anything but a simple point and shoot moment. "Mom, Paxton won't stand still!"
"I'm just going to kick back until Paxton will stand next to me for a picture."
"Let go of my arm! See the face that Papa taught me!"
"It's freezing out here. Get off of my sled Paxton!"
"Stop taking my picture already!"
"Owen! Owen! Get back here right now Owen!"
Two outfits, 5 settings, 125 photos...ah you get the picture. It wouldn't be a family photo moment if it didn't include some antics. Funny how negotiating with a 3 yr old and a 10 month old didn't get Brecken or I very far in our effort. Happy Holidays!

Wow--what patience you guys have! Love all the outtakes! For our holiday photo we only attempted one location and one outfit...35 digital attempts later, we got an okay one...
