10 Months!
If I asked you to list all of the memorable things of your past 10 months, how would you answer?
For Owen, there have been a lot of things. How about more than doubling his body weight with a 40% increase in height! If he keeps up this 10 month pace until the age of 5, he should stand tall in his kindergarten class. In fact, he would be just under 9 feet tall and weighing roughly 320 pounds. I can't wait to see how much we have to pay for that carseat.
Height and weight jokes aside, a lot has happened in the past 10 months around our house. The little guy that we brought home from the hospital in November...
...has learned to eat, sleep, crawl, "walk and talk." Well...walking and talking to the extent of pushing things around while on two feet and cooing da-da-da..dee-dee-dee. He has grown into and out of his clothes and has kept us constantly on our toes.
More than anything, he has turned us into a family. As new parents, we appreciate the simple things. For example, one of the most rewarding things is the smiling excitement Owen expresses when we walk into his room in the morning or into our home in the evening. The little guy Brecken carried out of the hospital 10 months ago is now fun-loving and full of personality.

We couldn't be more proud....well except when he spits out his food...and cries....and totally soils his diapers up his back...but I didn't say that. Here's to the next 10 months being as fun as the past 10 months.
