Hot! Hot! Hot!

As temperatures in Chicago soared to nearly 100 degrees this weekend, Brecken, Owen, and I took steps to keep cool. One of those steps was to partake in one of Brecken's favorite summer traditions....Italian ice near Armitage. For the first time, we were sharing this treat with Owen.


Owen seemed to prefer peach to blueberry, yet neither compared to his recently discovered favorite...the chocolate malt. On this hot day, we stuck to the icy fruit treat.
Here are the two happiest people on Sunday afternoon. Don't remind them that it his 100 degrees outside.
