Fulton County Fair

For the second straight year, we spent a day at the fair in Fulton County, OH. With grandma, Papi, great-grandma-Glitzy, and Graydon as our hosts, we enjoyed a wonderful day of Americana. From kids proudly showing their animals to fresh milkshakes at the dairy bar, from a collection of tractors to a midway full of rides and carni-games, Owen and Paxton weren't the only kids enjoying the afternoon. In such a setting, I think we were all kids for a few hours.

It took a little time to teach Owen that the baby goat would prefer to eat the hay and not the straw, but he caught on and fed just about every other goat in the barn before we could go.

Miss Paxton was excited to walk around with grandma.

It isn't everyday that you get to pet a turkey and put down fresh bedding. This little guy invited Owen over to meet his turkey and to help him out in the barn.

There is no way to describe the excitement a near-3 yr old gets when he approaches a John Deere of this magnitude. Grandpa Graydon's house is full of exciting "toys" like this.

Owen made a few laps on this race pony.

Paxton opted for a different type of lap on a slightly different type of pony.

This ride might solidify the fear of clowns in some, but Owen was anything but scared.

"More rides...more rides...come on mom...let's go!" Unfortunately all fun days must come to a close.

We were really glad to have uncle Erik, aunt Sarah, aunt Karis, and uncle Don joining the crew for the afternoon and evening. What a great day and a wonderful Labor Day weekend tradition with family.
