Chilly Weekend

Reality settled in this weekend, as a chill settled in over Chicago, reminding us that winter is really here. The memories of shorts and t-shirts from trick-or-treating a week earlier were replaced by heavy coats, hats, and gloves. It was a perfect weekend to host friends. Andrea, Kip, Carrie, and Jay joined us on Saturday evening, and then Ross, Erin, and Charlie stopped by on Sunday.

...and then Charlie demonstrated that Paxton isn't the only one fascinated by shoes. Waiting for a moment in which Paxton was distracted, Charlie made his move for the shoe and then tried to get away quickly. Smart guy. You don't know what can happen when you take shoes from a little lady. When Owen attempted the same trick, he wasn't quite quick enough with the escape. Paxton caught him and taught him a little lesson.
