Grandpas, Grandmas Everywhere

Owen and Paxton had a rare opportunity last weekend to spend time with both grandmas and both papas at the same time. Grandma and Grandpa L traveled to MI to join Grandma and Granpa C in welcoming the grandkids into town.

For Owen, there was a lot of time testing out his new fishing pole under the watchful eyes of two veteran anglers.

For Paxton, there was a lot of TLC from both grandmas as well as a few wonderful moments with great-grandma Shirley.
At the end of the weekend, Owen braved the lake for one last adventure: tubing. He joined me in the tube for a quick ride around the lake ("at very manageable speeds"). His comments ranged from "this is a little scary," to "it is really windy," to "that is a lot of water," to finally "this is pretty fun."

Hopefully the tag-team grandparent weekend can be a new tradition for many summers to come.
