Halloween
Owen started his 2nd Halloween by going corporate. After spending a little while working on the computer at my desk, he suited up and trick-or-treated his way around the cubicles and offices in search of anyone with candy or treats.

On Halloween evening, there was very little trick-or-treating in our neighborhood, but there was the annual Halloween parade. With large crowds of taller people, Owen flew his way onto my shoulders to catch a view.
Interestingly, at one point in the parade, 4 other fully grown chicken costumes strolled by. When they saw Owen in the crowd on the side of the road, they all stopped and pointed, hollering "look...another chicken!" All of the people around us cheered and laughed for the group and the connection with Owen, and one of them actually came over to give him a high-five. Thankfully, Owen didn't run off with his new family and opted to stay with Brecken and I.
You would be amazed by how many other people wanted to take pictures or say hi to the little guy.
For what it's worth, Owen's favorite part of the entire parade was the mechanical fire breathing dragon. This float literally shot flames 10-20 feet into the air, and Owen could not get enough of it. I think this may be a quick shot of his reaction. The only way we could get him to go home and go to sleep was to tell him that the dragon had also gone home to go to sleep.

The chicken costume has now run its course for the year. Definitely a big hit and a nice pick by Brecken. We'll see what next year has in store for Owen...and his sister.
